The interesting thing about the analysis is that the aforementioned priest, who belonged to the Salesian congregation, wrote a memoir published in a confessional diary in which he details the entire process of his arrest and his perceptions of what happened. The article proposes a contextualization of the story analyzes it and inserts it in the studies of Peronism that investigate the relationship between the Catholic Church and Peronism. Este trabajo indaga aspectos vinculados con la ruptura entre el catolicismo y el peronismo a mediados de la década del cincuenta del siglo XX. Partimos del estudio de un caso concreto: un cura de una pequeña localidad de la Provincia Eva Perón, Victorica, que estuvo preso al ser acusado de difamar al presidente Perón. Lo interesante del análisis es que el mencionado sacerdote, que pertenecía a la congregación salesiana, escribió una memoria publicada en un diario confesional en el que detalla todo el proceso de su detención y sus percepciones sobre lo acontecido. El artículo propone una contextualización del relato, lo analiza y lo inserta en los estudios del peronismo que indagan la relación entre Iglesia Católica y peronismo.
