description The objective of this work is to give an account of some dimensions of the role of the school climate during the ASPO, in middle-level and technical schools of the city of Bahía Blanca, located in the southwest of the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina. It arises from a main research developed within the framework of the Research Groups Project (PGI): "Educational equity: School segmentation in the town of Bahía Blanca", which analyzes the phenomenon of educational segmentation at the secondary level in the city of Bahía Blanca. It is financed by the General Secretariat of Science and Technology of the Universidad Nacional del Sur (UNS). Thus, the research here presented constitutes a product of the aforementioned project. It focused on analyzing the school climate rol in the face of Compulsory and Preventive Social Isolation (ASPO) carried out in 2020, associated with the Covid-19 pandemic. To this end, five of the six intermediate-level and technical schools in Bahía Blanca were investigated (4 of public management and one of subsidized private management). We seeks to know the reality from the actors themselves perception through semi-structured interviews carried out to those who occupy a position in the management or school guidance teams in schools. We concluded that the good school climate perceived in technical education schools, facilitated mechanisms to face the challenges of the pandemic, between those, cushion the blow of it on educational equity.
