However, this progress is slow and the hierarchization between gender continues. For this reason, schools are now required to seriously debate gender questions. In addition to the existence of disciples that discuss gender question in the curricula of grad and undergrad courses, the courses for teaching formation must also include discussions of these themes. More than progresses in the legal apparatus, which are obviously necessary, is also urgent a cultural change. If the school was once very efficient to produce hierarchization and submission between gender, it can now collaborate in producing a more egalitarian and democratic relation between them. Mulheres estão à frente na política, em cargos públicos, tem direito de acesso em todos os cargos e empregos, mas, apesar do destaque político, as conquistas são lentas e a hierarquização entre os sexos continua. Por este motivo a escola vem sendo convocada a debater a questão de gênero num caráter emergencial e urgente. Além de pautar nos currículos de graduação a questão de gênero, nos cursos de formação continuada de professoras/es esta questão deve estar presente obrigatoriamente. Para além do avanço das leis, necessárias sem dúvida alguma, também é urgente mudanças na cultura instalada. Para isso o espaço da escola enquanto processo educativo é fundamental. Se ela foi eficiente em produzir hierarquias e sujeições entre os sexos, pode colaborar na produção de relações igualitárias edemocráticas. Mulheres estão à frente na política, em cargos públicos, tem direito de acesso em todos os cargos e empregos, mas, apesar do destaque político, as conquistas são lentas e a hierarquização entre os sexos continua.
