Sumario:This article proposes a reflection that binds historiography and teaching together. This choice responds to the fact that we do not conceive history to be taught outside the scope of the contributions of serious and rigorous investigations which, from different views and with various methodologies, will contribute to enrich the discipline and its educational possibilities; we do not either ignore the multiple factors that condition them. For this reason, we recognize a strong correspondence between knowledge production, teaching and political context in which they take place, and we bet on the historian's and educator's compromise with the problems and challenges of their own times.
