Holloway's work becomes a subject of study insofar as it allows us to think of concepts and categories that modify the theoretical space from which it starts, thereby configuring the passage from a theory of capitalist society to a theory against society. To what extent this purpose is achieved and what are the routes that are covered, is the central theme of this text. En los últimos años la “teoría crítica de la sociedad” recibió un impulso a partir de la obra de John Holloway. Sin embargo, esta actualización de una vertiente conocida ampliamente en el pensamiento social, ha tenido que dialogar y negociar con otras perspectivas. La obra de Holloway se torna motivo de estudio en la medida en que permite pensar conceptos y categorías que modifican el espacio teórico del cual parte, configurando con ello el paso de una teoría de la sociedad capitalista a una teoría en contra de la sociedad. En qué medida este propósito se logra y cuáles son las rutas que se recorren, es el tema central de este texto.
