The article, there for, presents how three converging and complex processes of have transformed the city of Córdoba: i) social-residential segregation and geopolitical control over population; ii) strategic embellishment, patrimony appraisal and turistification as esthetic/politic transformations; iii) the consolidation of a regime based on speed and circulation. These three processes are elaborated in their specificities, presenting cases that are relevant in the current time, and that allow to analyze the phenomenon from both a diachronic and a synchronic perspective. The article closes by explaining how such phenomenon build a class order in the city, that means an unequal distribution of production and reproduction means of life, according to economic groups. Such order, with a clear class orientation, is not only physical, material or architectural, but also symbolic, bodily, and sensitive. The text proposes a special approach of the bond between cities and communication, by identifying processes that are acting in Córdoba but also operate in other cities, in the space and time of current capitalism in its integrated and global spectacular phase (Debord 1995, 2006).

En el presente trabajo describimos y analizamos desde una perspectiva interdisciplinaria algunas transformaciones urbanas en la ciudad de Córdoba, Argentina, presentando dimensiones empíricas y teóricas que permiten reflexionar sobre las tendencias de largo plazo en los cambios socio territoriales que configuran, siguiendo a Jesús Martin Barbero (2015), nuevas formas de estar juntos y estar separados en el escenario urbano cordobés. En el artículo indagamos cómo la ciudad de Córdoba se ha modificado por complejos y convergentes procesos de: i) segregación socio-habitacional y control geopolítico de las poblaciones; ii) embellecimiento estratégico, patrimonialización y turistificación como transformaciones estético/políticas; iii) la consolidación de un régimen de velocidad y circulación. En el escrito, estos tres procesos son desarrollados en sus especificidades, presentando casos de relevancia actual que permiten abordar el fenómeno desde perspectivas diacrónicas y sincrónicas. Al finalizar damos cuenta de los modos en que dichos fenómenos construyen un ordenamiento clasista del espacio urbano, esto es: una desigual distribución de las capacidades de reproducción material y simbólica de la vida de sus habitantes. Tal ordenamiento no es solo físico, material o arquitectónico, sino que también es simbólico, corporal y sensible. Con el artículo pretendemos aportar a la indagación en el lazo entre espacio urbano y comunicación, al identificar procesos que actúan en Córdoba pero que también operan en otras ciudades, en el espacio/tiempo del capitalismo en su fase espectacular integrada y global (Debord 1995, 2006).
