This article analyses and compares the gender composition of the competing lists for municipal legislative positions in the elections helded in 2015 and 2019 and their respective electoral results in the 19 municipalities of the Province of Tucumán. The study concludes that the combination of couplings with a 30% female participation quota, in closed and blocked lists, with a proportional distribution of seats without legal threshold, in an electoral context characterized by its high electoral offer (product of couplings), produces a breakdown of party and intraparty competitiveness, which is detrimental to women´ possibilities to occupy seats. In addition, there is a tendency of all political parties to position the female candidates from the third place on the list and to limit the female headings. En el presente artículo se analizan y comparan la composición por género de las listas oficializadas para los cargos legislativos municipales en los comicios de 2015 y 2019 y sus respectivos resultados electorales en los 19 municipios de la Provincia de Tucumán. El estudio permite concluir que la combinación de los acoples con una cuota de 30%, en listas cerradas y bloqueadas, con una distribución proporcional de las bancas sin umbral legal, en un contexto electoral caracterizado por su alta oferta electoral (producto de los acoples), produce una ruptura de la competitividad partidaria e intrapartidaria, que dificulta que las candidatas ganen bancas. Además, queda reflejada la tendencia de todos los partidos políticos a posicionar a las candidatas a partir del tercer lugar de la lista y a limitar los encabezamientos femeninos.
