Sumario:This article is intended to provide an account of the main points which characterize the concept of learning from the perspective of Sara Paín, who has been an indisputable leader in Argentina’s psycho-pedagogical research. As this is an initial approach to the analysis of this concept in the work of Paín, we will focus on some of her publications and on the theoretical framework she establishes in them. We will therefore give an account of her path to the conceptualization of learning following a chronological order, identify the theoretical frameworks she resorts to, and specify the way in which the author, establishing new relationships between those frameworks, moves forward towards her own theoretical work as regards learning. The present article is the first step towards an epistemological analysis of the author’s concepts, set within a theoretical epistemological line of study in the field of psychopedagogy, which we have been working on at UNCo (National University of Comahue, Argentina).
