The aim of this paper is to characterize the political consulting as an expertise extended and legitimized for the exercise of professional politics in Argentina today. From a pragmatic perspective, working on a set of in-depth interviews with directors and workers of different political consulting firms, we seek to analyze the knowledge, practices and meanings linked to the production and circulation of data produced by these professionals and put in evidence the complex network of relationships that are established between different actors. El objetivo de este artículo es caracterizar a la consultoría política como una expertise extendida y legitimada para el ejercicio de la política profesional en la Argentina contemporánea. Desde una perspectiva pragmática, trabajando a partir de un conjunto de entrevistas en profundidad realizadas a directores y trabajadores de distintas consultoras políticas del país, el análisis se orienta a identificar saberes, prácticas y sentidos vinculados con la producción y circulación de los datos que elaboran estos profesionales, poniendo en evidencia la compleja red de relaciones que se entablan entre diversos actores.
