The validity of agribusiness as a new productive pattern that guided the practices and strategies of agricultural producers supposed, from an institutional point of view, the need to redefine the logic of the entities that had traditionally assumed as an essential function the trade union defense of the interests of its associates. In this framework, the objective of this article is to explore the redefinition of the institutional profiles of a first-degree entity in the interior of Córdoba, based on the structuring of a series of services aimed at professionalizing the productive practices of its members. As a result of this process, a series of transformations took place which, without abandoning the function that had been historically assumed, disrupted their institutional profiles and operated as an instance from which the institution (and the practices of its social bases) was adapted to the new context socio-productive. La vigencia del agronegocio como nuevo patrón productivo que orientó las prácticas y estrategias de los productores agropecuarios supuso, desde un punto de vista institucional, la necesidad de redefinir las lógicas de las entidades que tradicionalmente habían asumido como función esencial la defensa gremial de los intereses de sus asociados. En ese marco, el objetivo de este artículo es explorar la redefinición de los perfiles institucionales de una entidad de primer grado del interior de Córdoba a partir de la estructuración de una serie de servicios tendientes a profesionalizar las prácticas productivas de sus asociados. Como emergente de este proceso tuvo lugar una serie de transformaciones que –sin abandonar la función que históricamente había asumido– trastocó sus perfiles institucionales y operó como instancia desde la cual se procuró adecuar la institución (y las prácticas de sus bases sociales) al nuevo contexto socio-productivo.
