However, this perspective does not provide a clear explanation for a stative usage in Rioplatense Spanish that has emerged in recent times (camisa blanca da más doctora) Este artículo aborda desde una perspectiva (neo)construccionista (Borer 2005) algunas construcciones con el verbo dar, tradicionalmente considerado liviano o de apoyo. El modelo permite explicar los usos transitivos (télicos y atélicos) y aquellos en los que el verbo forma un predicado complejo (dar vuelta). Sin embargo, este enfoque no provee una explicación clara para un uso estativo de dar en español rioplatense, surgido recientemente (camisa blanca da más doctora).
