It`s main object is to establish the appearingconditions and proceedings that are used for the production ofcategories (theoretical and documentary) in educational psychologyto show the validity of its basis and the level of the epistemologicalstrictness. The above mentioned statements include parts of theanalysis of the work written by Alicia Fernández. She is animportant reference as regards educational psychology and has agreat role in the concept of intelligence. As from identifying herexplicit references to other authors who have also definedintelligence, we pretend to analyze the relation and breaking offthat she shows with the different concepts. The concepts ofintelligence that have relationship with the understanding of thelearning are taken into account, as from an analysis that includesher conceptual definition, her professional career, her theoreticaldisciplinary sources and differences with other views critically setout by the author above mentioned.
