description The results of a descriptive study that considers comparative aspects to account for features of each population of students taking degrees in Education or in Chemical Sciences, trying to establish signs that could constitute own distinctive features of each program of action are presented in this article, according to the election and membership in each race. The central question refers to recognize the distinctive features of agents subject who choose to college in Education and Chemical Sciences at the University of Rio Cuarto (city of the Province of Córdoba, Argentina). The problem being addressed in this study is similar to that developed in the early stages of research, conducted with students who chose to university education in Cordoba (2006-2007-2008) at the National University of Cordoba and the University Católica de Córdoba, and continued during the years 2009-2010-2011 with students who decided to pursue a degree in Chemical Sciences in those same two universities with different types of management but both in the same capital city of the Province of Córdoba (Argentina).
