On a new form of the main part of the disturbing function in the three-body problem

A new form for the disturbing function is given in arms of the heliocentric distances r₁ and r₂ and two auxiliary angles θ₁ and θ₂. An outline is given for obtaining expressions of these angles in terms of known quantities.
