| Sumario: | In asthenic toads by hypophysectomy happens the same electrolytic modifications in tissues as those proved in adrenoprive animals.
The concentration of potassium decreases till the liver level, whilst in the muscle the bonds are kept. Sodium, the same as in adrenoprive animals, decreases in muscles in a significative form keeping up its normal concentration in the liver.
Hypophysectomized animals have the same sensibility to the potassium toxic action as those which present adrenal insufficiency.
The indentity that exists in perturbations of electrolitic metabolism, in asthenic hypohysoprive and adrenoprive toads, allows us to affirm that asthenic manifestations of hypophysectomized animals are accorded by adrenal skin atrophy. |
