Sumario:The core of this article is a reflection on how we assume, in our research group, the relations between the specific knowledge of mathematics and the pedagogical knowledge of the subjects who teach mathematics. We think that mathematical knowledges are provided with cultural meaning, and therefore have historically become symbolic instruments.
