Based on the work of Senegal governor Louis Leon Faidherbe and some of his successors, it would be display that even though it exists some common traits in the treatment of Islam during this period, there weren’t part of a defined, aware Islamic Policy, but a modern, colonial and much more civil speech that took into account – not exclusively, Islam in Africa.
