description This article departs from an hermeneutical perspective of research that uses as strategy the documentary review, interviews to women, indigenous authorities and a daily field data collection.  It explores briefly the history of violence in Departamento  del Cauca (Colombia), the relationship that it has had with female agression, and the influence that these acts have had on the decision of the indigenous communities of  El Cauca to throw out armed actors from their territory. The existence of the armed conflict has meant the deepening of their problems converting them into victims of all kinds of abuse and violence. This has put at risk the maintenance of their worldview, which is affected by the action of the Colombian conflict actors with powerful technologies that exert violence on the body – territory threatening their culture. Without the action of these actors, which are an expression of other processes (economic model, illegal trafficking, among others) indigenous communities consider they could be safeguarding their lives and traditions.
