| Sumario: | Problem solving is key to evaluating the reach of the understanding of concepts of a discipline. This study was based on the analysis of the resolution process of Licentiate in Geology first year students, and looks for signals of the presence of knowledgein- action (concept drawn by Gerard Vergnaud in the theory of conceptual fields (TCC)).
