Indicates that, in our times, there is a wide range of views on this social phenomenon, whose diversity ranges from conceptualize it as an inevitable sociological phenomenon in any society, to see him as a "necessary evil" to reach those apologetic approaches that conceived as the driving force necessary for social progress.The article explores the subject gradually, progressively analyzing specific topics such as the use of violent means of control, the phenomenon of accommodation (understood as the act of subordination of one social group to another), the use of violence in politics, how it relates to morality and legality, the use of violence in everyday social relations and the nature of the intellectual problems that are associated with the study of the sociology of conflict.
