In order to achieve this, we have analyzed which type of narrational resources Frédéric de Waldeck uses in his book Viaje pintoresco y arqueológico a la Provincia de Yucatán, 1834 y 1836, so as to get to define the journeys he makes and at the same time, to define himself as a particular type of traveller.
