En la obra de Henry Levy: Le siècle de Sartre se plantea la cuestión de si Sartre es filosofo o no, llegando a la conclusión de que Francia ha tenido grandes pensadores, entre ellos Sartre, pero no grandes filósofos, pues han sabido interpretar la filosofía alemana y no han creado un sistema de reflexión filosófico propio. Esta es la oportunidad para replantear la cuestión y mostrar el valioso aporte que Sartre hace a la fenomenología: su planteamiento ontológico. Aquí, el tema de la mirada cobra protagonismo en el autor, no solo desde la filosofía sino desde lo que él mismo llamo teatro de situaciones. La novedad de Sartre, respecto al tema de la mirada, es su tratamiento desde un análisis ontológico inspirado por la fenomenología. ¿Por qué Edipo extirpo sus ojos? Puede ser la pregunta que guíe nuestra reflexión sobre la mirada en J. P. Sartre. La mirada, el otro y la intersubjetividad son núcleos esenciales de esta reflexión que abordamos desde la perspectiva fenomenológica. Quedará pendiente una reflexión posterior para analizar el mismo problema desde el segundo Sartre, es decir, el que pone a dialogar marxismo y existencialismo. / Abstract. In 2005 we celebrated a century since the birth of the French philosopher, the writer and playwright, this is a proper date to point out his heritage to culture, theater, literature and indeed his valuable contribution to the field of philosophy and politics theory. In the work of Henry Levy: Le siècle de Sartre, he poses the question whether Sartre is or not a philosopher, he concludes that France has had great thinkers, among them Sartre, however, it has not had great philosophers since it has not been able to interpret German philosophy and therefore it has not created its own system of philosophical reflection. This is the opportunity to pose again this query and show the worthwhile contribution that Sartre has made to phenomenology which is that of his ontological proposal. From this view, the issue of the "the sight" becomes a central concern not only from the philosophical point of view but also from what he called the "theater of situations". The novelty of Sartre's proposal, in regards to the conception of the Sight. lies in the way he addresses the ontological analysis inspired in phenomelogy. The inquiry Why did Oedipus tear out his eyes? can guide this reflection about J. P. Sartre' view. The Sight, the Other and the intersubjectivity are essential aspects of this discussion that we will tackle from the phenometolgical perspective. There will be one issue to develop in a further discussion. it is the analysis of the concepts ment ioned above from the perspectives of the second Sartre, that is to say, the Sartre that engages in a dialogical interaction the postures of marxism and existencialism.
