The purpose of this article is to show us how Frida, while intending to go deep into herself, she shaped in her self portraits knowledge about woman and about the mixed races which have not been projected enough. And here is the danger: that as the myth goes around the world, the complexity, the richness, the range and the fissures of her performance get lost, and Frida becomes a decorative, falsified, disposable object. |
