description	The peace process in Colombia generated two aspects that direct the occupation of the lands: the first one the restitution of land with the return of the peasant; and the second the liberation of wasteland illegally appropriated by armed groups. The policy with a territorial approach is aimed at revaluing the use in the seasonal savannah, amid changes that cause deterritorialization, loss of governance and the risk of overcoming the resilience of the land. Using an inverse comparative method, historical and contemporary issues were identified that define the temporality of predatory globalization in which the seasonal savannah sector of Puerto Gaitán, Meta (Colombia) is found. Based on the theoretical approaches of several authors and methodological advances applied in the research, the need to apply control to the change of use or a proposal based on new alternatives of use that are less predatory and that involve the local population is shown.
