O texto a seguir tem por finalidade discutir a criação do Estado do Tocantins ocorrido na Assembléia Nacional Constituinte em 1988 e instalado em 01 de janeiro de 1989. 20 anos depois de sua objetivação, procuramos lançar um olhar que consiste em demonstrar o ritual mitológico envolvido neste ato que foi político, mas que se estruturou pela utilização de elementos religiosos. Assim, a construção desta unidade política-administrativa da federação brasileira inseriu-se numa perspectiva representativa cujo espaço de representação erigiu-se com bases de sustentação no imaginário coletivo e na elaboração de universos simbólicos. |
