description Resumen: En el escrito pesquisamos la inserción laboral y las trayectorias ocupacionales de Carmen y Hermes, ambos nacidos en Perú, quienes migraron a Córdoba a principios del siglo XXI. En el presente, estos agentes están articulados en un mercado laboral destinado a la decoración y animación de fiestas de cumpleaños infantiles. Desde una perspectiva etnográfica analizamos: la experiencia migratoria particular de cada uno de ellos; el sostenimiento de los vínculos sociales con Perú y en Córdoba; el rol que jugaron ciertas mujeres -madres, hermanas y tías- como eslabones de una cadena en los procesos de reunificación familiar; sus ocupaciones laborales en sus ciudades de origen vinculándolas con sus empleos actuales; el conjunto de saberes que movilizaban para posicionarse frente a sus compatriotas como portadores de un “estilo peruano” en torno a la celebración de fiestas de cumpleaños infantiles. Del mismo modo, el trabajo busca dar cuenta del proceso mediante el cual ambos agentes consiguen volverse “sus propios jefes” y la importancia que cumplieron las redes sociales para iniciar y extender sus negocios festivos.  PALABRAS CLAVES: CUMPLEAÑOS INFANTILES-TRAYECTORIAS OCUPACIONALES- SABERES Abstract: In this paper, we study the employment and occupational trajectories of Carmen and Hermes, both were born in Perú, and immigrated to Córdoba in the early twenty-first century. At present, these agents are articulated in a labor intended for decoration and entertainment children's birthday parties. From an ethnographic perspective, we analyze: the particular migratory experience of each; the maintenance of ties with Perú and Córdoba; the role played by certain women -mothers, sisters and aunts- as links in a chain in the processes of family reunification; their occupations in their cities of origin linking them with their current jobs; body of knowledge that move to position against his countrymen as embodying " Peruvian style " about holding children's birthday parties. At the same time, the text seeks to explain the process by which migrant's get become both “their own bosses” and the importance of social networks does to start and expand their businesses associated with festive practices.KEYWORDS: CHILDREN BIRTHDAY- OCCUPATIONAL TRAJECTORIES-KNOWLEDGE
