Para ello se procede a través decuatro momentos: primero se define el papel de la educación en la teoría hobbesiana; luego se hace hincapié en elprincipio de autoconservación como el fundamento de la vinculación de los individuos en el Estado; después se abordael problema de la negación del aspecto crítico de la formación en dicha teoría, para finalmente, esbozar un distanciamientotanto de las pretensiones educativas de la teoría absolutista de Hobbes como de las planteadas por la teoría crítica.AbstractEDUCATION THROUGH THOMAS HOBBES' PERSPECTIVEAND SOME OF ITS IMPLICATIONS FROM CRITICAL THEORYThe purpose ofthis article is to make explicit the conception ofeducation developed in Thomas Hobbes'political theoryand its different implications according to certain principies of critical theory. This is attained through four stages:First, the role ofeducation in Hobbes' perspective is defined; then, the principie of self-conservation is highlighted asthe basis of individuáis' integration in the State; next, there is a discussion about the problem of denying a criticalaspect ofeducation in critical theory; andfinally a distancing is outlined in the educational claims of Hobbes'absolutisttheory and in those proposed by critical theory.RésuméL'ÉDUCATION DANS LA PENSÉE DE THOMAS HOBBESET QUELQUES IMPLICATIONS Á PARTIR DE LA THÉORIE CRITIQUEL'auteur tente d'éclairer le concept d'éducation dans la théorie politique de Thomas Hobbes et certaines implicationsconsidérées selon des principes de la théorie critique. A cettefin, l'auteur pose quatre moments : il définit d'abord le role de l'éducation dans la théorie de Hobbes; puis, il insiste sur le principe d'autoconservation comme fondement de Tintégration des individus dans l'Etat; en suite, il aborde le probléme de la négation de l'aspect critique de laformation dans cette théorie; et enfin, il ébauche Téloignement des prétentions éducatives de la théorie absolutiste de Hobbes et de celles de la théorie critique.
