Si bien, el relato de las mburuvichas (capitanas) da cuenta de importantes avances en el acceso formal a espacios de representación política, como el que se han ganado a nivel de la Capitanía, de la Asamblea del Pueblo Guaraní (APG) y de la Confederación de Pueblos Indígenas de Bolivia (CIDOB), también representan para las mujeres guaraníes espacios de resistencia social y política.
