The official apologetic history of the institution states that it was created thanks to a donation made by American citizen George Ward in honor of his mother, who died while he was on a tourist trip to Buenos Aires. On the contrary, throughout the investigation it will become clear that its founding had more to do with a plot recreated at least a century earlier and with the educational efforts of various religious congregations. It should be noted that, in the first decades of the 20th century, there was a dizzying advance in the process of democratization of Argentine society. In this sense, the private education system became a refuge for the elites, and it is within this educational framework that we can locate Colegio Ward, which in its early years oscillated between various buildings in the Federal Capital until its definitive settlement in Greater Buenos Aires. The institution's history can be traced through official sources such as student publications and brochures intended to attract potential students interested in its educational project.
