The case analyzed corresponds to the postgraduate level of the Universidad Nacional de Tres de Febrero (UNTREF), in Argentina. The methodological strategy used was quali-quantitative and descriptive. It was based on the application of a self-administered questionnaire online to the universe of graduate students who were enrolled in courses during the second semester of 2020 and another to university teachers who taught classes during the same semester, in order to know the perceptions and opinions regarding the teaching virtualization process. The study gives an account of the characteristics that this process adopted in terms of the modality of study and use of technological resources, the limitations and readjustments in the dynamics of the development of the courses, and their impact on the teaching and learning experience. Aspects such as the strengthening of capacities for the implementation of a hybrid model as the one applied by UNTREF, the impact on the organization of the pedagogical model, and the possibilities and effects regarding the federalization and internationalization of the teaching of courses are highlighted. Finally, the potentialities, limitations and future perspectives of educational virtualization in emergencies are analyzed. El trabajo presenta resultados parciales de un estudio de caso sobre la virtualización de la enseñanza “de emergencia”, como respuesta a la interrupción forzosa del dictado de clases presenciales en el contexto de la actual pandemia por COVID-19. El caso analizado corresponde al nivel de posgrado de la Universidad Nacional de Tres de Febrero (UNTREF), en Argentina. La estrategia metodológica empleada fue de carácter cuali-cuantitativa y descriptiva. Consistió en la aplicación de un cuestionario autoadministrado en forma online al universo de estudiantes de posgrado que se inscribieron a cursos en el segundo semestre de 2020 y otro a docentes de posgrado que dictaron clases en ese mismo semestre, para conocer las percepciones y opiniones respecto del proceso de virtualización de la enseñanza. El estudio da cuenta de las características que adoptó este proceso en términos de la modalidad de cursada y utilización de recursos tecnológicos, las limitaciones y readecuaciones en la dinámica de desarrollo de los cursos, y su impacto en la experiencia de enseñanza y aprendizaje. Se destacan aspectos tales como el fortalecimiento de las capacidades para la implementación de un modelo híbrido como el aplicado por UNTREF, el impacto en la organización del modelo pedagógico, y las posibilidades y efectos en cuanto a la federalización e internacionalización del dictado de cursos. Finalmente, se analizan las potencialidades, limitaciones y perspectivas futuras de la virtualización educativa en la emergencia.
