Sumario:In this article we analyze the functioning and production of a collaborative work on Natural Sciences Teaching invirtual context developed in Buenos Aires city by teachers and researchers during 2020. The communication with students was developed via WhatsApp. This study was developed in the frame of a research in which the group meets monthly to study and define the contents, design a didactic sequence that is then developed and analyzed by teachers in the classroom. The reflections that we include start from considering the modifications that took place in the relationships between teachers and researchers caused by the change of scenery during the pandemic. We interpret these changes as advances in collaboration due to a greater parity in the contribution of proposals from the members of the group in the face of the challenge posed by the resolution of new problems. Seeking to conceptualize the complexity of the object of study and to locate new arguments to support the interpretations made in this new context, we dived into the Activity Theory. We defined as the unit of analysis of our research the constellation of systems constituted by the school, the academy and the collaborative group; we understand that the new rules of functioning and distribution of tasks, as well as the need to implement other cultural instruments brought out a change in the object and in the subjects that mobilize the classic contradictions between theory-practice and production-execution.
