| Sumario: | With the imperial expansion of european modernities, one of the regular topics in reflections of Buenos Aires intellectuals had to do with the state -and citizen- abilities to institutionalize and manage the spaces of culture. In this article we propose to investigate the meanings about Opera Houses, created by Wagnerian fans during the first decades of 20th century. Specially, how representations of the Festspielhaus of Bayreuth afforded this group of amateurs to think about cultural management of an Opera House. It its suggests that the fanatics produced an idealized image of the Wagnerian project, or perhaps also a collective hope for the art of the future. In conclusion, further research is needed to keep on analysing the impacts of these representations. |
