These representatives suffered the harshness of a political context marked by revolution, the war of independence and civil wars after. In this plot Jujean families were divided according to their political and economic interests. Throughout the work we will address some questions, such as: What was the behavior of the political factions before the elections of Teodoro Sánchez de Bustamante and José Miguel de Zegada? How did these representatives resolve the conflicts that confronted them with the authorities of the town council and members of the elite of Jujuy? What interests did Jujuy have in those years (the instructions)? El propósito de este trabajo es mostrar la dinámica electoral en el cabildo de Jujuy, a través de las elecciones de representantes a las reuniones generales de 1816 y 1825, las que tuvieron como protagonistas a dos miembros de la elite jujeña: Teodoro Sánchez de Bustamante en la primera y José Miguel de Zegada en 1825. Estos representantes sufrieron los enconos propios de un contexto político marcado por la revolución, la guerra de independencia y las guerras civiles después. En esta trama las familias jujeñas se dividieron según sus intereses políticos y económicos. A lo largo del trabajo abordaremos algunos interrogantes, tales como ¿Cuál fue el comportamiento de las facciones políticas ante las elecciones de Teodoro Sánchez de Bustamante y José Miguel de Zegada? ¿Cómo resolvieron estos representantes los conflictos que los enfrentaron con las autoridades del cabildo y miembros de la elite jujeña? ¿Qué intereses tenía Jujuy en esos años (las instrucciones)?
