In this regard, taking into consideration perspectives from the socio-cultural history and focusing on a local scale, this study explores practices and spaces of sociability to understand their particularities, their internal hierarchies and representations. Indeed, we would argue that looking at Buenos Aires sociability; it would be possible to contribute to the understanding on this urban society in the early twentieth century. El presente artículo propone aproximarse a las prácticas de sociabilidad en la Ciudad de Buenos Aires en el período de auge de las sociedades y asociaciones vecinales. En tal sentido, a la luz de las perspectivas de la historia socio-cultural y bajo la utilización de un enfoque atento a las especificidades locales-barriales se examinarán las prácticas y espacios de sociabilidad con el fin de comprender sus particularidades, sus jerarquías e imaginarios. En efecto, creemos que indagar dicha temática nos permitirá contribuir a enriquecer el conocimiento de la sociedad de principios del siglo XX.
