So, throughout the decade, narrative strategies were seen to trivialize the voluntary death by calling it "anecdotal suicide". Meanwhile, its massive losses with stereotyped news section police. After a cross-reading, the informative material shows certain gaps where voluntary death became evident as a social problem. Likewise, the acceleration of urban life own of modernization of cities caused in some people a sense of estrangement that could mobilise voluntary death. Therefore, the suicide phenomenon questions the perception of modernity, understood as an age of light and progress.
