The landing of this American company profoundly changed the appearance of the city and became the symbol of imperialism in the region. Since its beginnings, the members of the Communist Party members focused in organizing the labor detachment of this company. This paper talks about the various tactics deployed to lay siege to the industrial establishment, as well as the organizational tools they used and its results. El artículo estudia una experiencia del movimiento obrero de la ciudad de Rosario durante la década de 1920: explora el trabajo desplegado por los nóveles comunistas a mediados de la década para organizar a los trabajadores del recién instalado frigorífico Swift en el extremo sur de la ciudad. El desembarco de esta empresa de capital estadounidense cambió profundamente la fisonomía de la ciudad y se convirtió en el símbolo del imperialismo en la región. Desde sus comienzos organizar al destacamento obrero de esta empresa se volvió central para los militantes del Partido Comunista. En el presente artículo se verán las diversas tácticas desplegadas para asediar al establecimiento fabril, las herramientas organizacionales que utilizaron y los resultados obtenidos.
