This history deserves special attention because it would have strengthened between 1905 and 1916 specializing in studies on viticulture, and the possession of this knowledge would have catapulted him as a member of the technical team that supported the economic and agricultural policy cycle radical-lencinista Mendoza (1918-1928), led by José Néstor Lencinas. Sobre la base de perspectivas analíticas que se detienen en la formación de burocracias estatales y en las trayectorias de los funcionarios que las integraban, en este trabajo presentamos una reconstrucción del itinerario profesional del enólogo e ingeniero agrónomo Leopoldo Suárez. Esta trayectoria merece especial atención pues se habría consolidado entre 1905 y 1916 como especialista en estudios sobre vitivinicultura, y la posesión de este saber lo habría catapultado como integrante del equipo técnico que respaldó la política económica y agrícola del ciclo radical-lencinista en Mendoza (1918-1928), liderado e José Néstor Lencinas.
