Specifically, we consider the emergency of a speech that associated the situation of the justice with the necessity of structural reforms in the government of national territories. From the newspapers of La Pampa, La Autonomía and La Capital, we point to identify the representation of crime and the arguments about the limited state intervention. El artículo propone examinar el relato periodístico sobre el delito en el territorio nacional de La Pampa en las primeras décadas del siglo XX. Específicamente, consideramos la emergencia de un discurso que asociaba la situación de la justicia con la necesidad de reformas estructurales en la gobernabilidad de los territorios nacionales. Las noticias policiales retrataban diariamente los sucesos que rodeaban el delito; a partir de los diarios de mayor circulación en la capital pampeana, La Autonomía y La Capital, pretendemos identificar la representación del crimen y los argumentos acerca de la limitada intervención estatal.
