| Sumario: | The origins of Neoliberalism in South America, especially the cases of Argentina, Brazil and Chile where we focus, are associated with the emergence of a particular type of institution, the economic research institutes, through which many of the ideas and practices that compose germinated and gained momentum due to the overlapping of ideas, not only economic, material interests and political power. This article deals with the process, especially the way it was performed and overlapping internal and external mechanisms for forge its, not only reduced the imposition, but an entire repertoire of actions from co-option was the use of violent means, through a range of other media. |
