Angélica Escayola, together with her partner Alfredo Guevara, were for decades leading lawyers in the fight for Human Rights and for Memory, Truth and Justice in Mendoza. In 1975 they had to exile first to Peru and then to Mexico. Upon their return to the country, in 1984, Angélica and Alfredo resumed their work as lawyers linked to the defense of human rights, a task that Angélica continues today from the Association of Surviving Women of Dictatorships for Memory and from the feminist collective “Ni Una Menos”.
