Since the late nineteenth and early twentieth century, the Argentine government’s planned extension of two railways lines to the Bolivian border to connect with the lines of that country. The same goal was the construction of the Railway Development in the territories of the Chaco region of Argentina. In the case, we use various sources and reports of public bodies. En este trabajo nos proponemos analizar un proyecto temprano de integración regional en que los Ferrocarriles del Estado jugarían un papel fundamental para conectar las regiones del Altiplano y del Oriente Boliviano con los puertos argentinos del frente fluvial de los ríos Paraguay y Paraná y desde allí acceder a otros puertos fluviales y de ultramar. Estas propuestas tenían el objetivo de canalizar el intercambio económico y comercial. Desde fines del siglo XIX y en las primeras décadas del siglo XX el gobierno argentino planeó la extensión de dos líneas férreas hasta la frontera boliviana para conectarlas con las líneas de aquel país. El mismo objetivo tenía la construcción de los Ferrocarriles de Fomento en los territorios de la región chaqueña argentina. Para este caso, recurrimos a diversas fuentes y memorias de organismos públicos.
