I will alsoanalyze the reasons why The Ordinances of the Mines of NewSpain of 1783 was not introduced in the Viceroyalty of Río de LaPlata, apart from the exceptional cases of Salta and Córdoba delTucumán. Este artículo se propone abordar las diferentesparticularidades respecto a las instituciones y competenciasmineras en el virreinato del Río de la Plata y Nueva España, apartir del análisis de la legislación minera. Se analizarán a lossubdelegados como jueces de minas en los dos virreinatos paraevaluar las competencias que ejercieron, y los problemas que sepresentaron a partir de compartir jurisdicción y facultades con losdiputados mineros. También se revisarán las causas por las queno se puso en vigor las Ordenanzas de minería de Nueva Españade 1783 en el virreinato del Río de la Plata y se hará mención delos casos excepcionales en la intendencia de Salta y Córdoba delTucumán.
