From the narrative of the events, which constituted a whole family drama and especially in the relationships between María, who was the protagonist and her older brother, I study in this work the representations of emotions as constructors of gender, of social hierarchy, of subordination. Análisis de caso realizado a partir de documentación procesal, en concreto pliegos de alegaciones jurídicas, en torno a un relato sobre una mujer que en la Barcelona del siglo XVII decide tomar las riendas de su vida de forma autónoma y se encuentra con la dura oposición de toda su familia. A partir de la narrativa de los hechos, que constituyeron todo un drama familiar y especialmente en las relaciones entre María, que era la protagonista y su hermanomayor, se estudian las representaciones de las emociones como constructoras de género, de jerarquía social, de subordinación.
