This article shows how the subjection of furniture to a two-sided level of violence suggests the political nature of victimization in the private sphere. To show it, I will contextualize the works in the historical moment in which they were created. Then I will examine its symbolics by indicating common and contrasting elements. At last, I will analyze the politics in the series and give an account of how violence, while exercised in the private sphere, constitutes a public phenomenon of a political nature.
