Freyre appointed himself as an Iberian intellectual, both heir and defender of cultural and intellectual Iberian traditions. In addition to the intellectual inspiration in different references, Freyre wrote his works motivated by several travels made at different times of his life: the United States, Europe, platinum countries (Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay), Portugal, Portuguese colonies in Africa and Asia (Goa ) etc.. By confronting and comparing thoughts and impressions of Freyre on the Iberian and Latin Americans countries, it is possible to understand his ideas about the Iberianism, Hispanism and Latin Americanism, and his vigorous defense of Iberian and Latin American traditions. A partir de ensayos e impresiones de viajes del sociólogo e historiador brasileño Gilberto Freyre (1900-1987), este texto tiene como objetivo analizar sus reflexiones sobre el iberismo, hispanismo y latinoamericanismo. El mismo Freyre se nombró como un intelectual iberista, tanto heredero como defensor de las tradiciones culturales e intelectuales ibéricas. Además de la inspiración intelectual en diferentes referencias, Freyre escribió sus obras motivado por varios viajes realizados en diferentes momentos de su vida: los Estados Unidos, Europa, los países platinos (Argentina, Paraguay y Uruguay), Portugal, las colonias portuguesas en África y Asia (Goa) etc. Al confrontar y comparar las reflexiones e impresiones de Freyre sobre los países ibéricos e iberoamericanos, es posible entender sus ideas sobre el iberismo, hispanismo y latinoamericanismo, y su defensa vigorosa de las tradiciones ibéricas e iberoamericanas. A partir de ensaios e impressões de viagens do sociólogo e historiador brasileiro Gilberto Freyre (1900-1987), pretende-se analisar suas reflexões sobre iberismo, hispanismo e latino-americanismo. O próprio Freyre designou-se como um intelectual iberista, tanto herdeiro como defensor das tradições culturais e intelectuais ibéricas. Além da inspiração em distintas referências intelectuais, Freyre escreveu seus trabalhos motivado por diversas viagens, feitas em diferentes momentos de sua vida: Estados Unidos, Europa, países platinos (Argentina, Paraguai e Uruguai), Portugal, colônias portuguesas na África e Ásia (Goa) etc. Ao confrontar e comparar as reflexões e impressões de Freyre sobre países ibéricos e ibero-americanos, é possível compreender suas ideias acerca do iberismo, hispanismo e latino-americanismo, e a defesa que fez, com veemência crescente, das tradições ibéricas e ibero-americanas.
