Considering this initial hypothesis, this work focuses on two main axes: first, it gathers the academic backgrounds and theories around the study of caring, the main items approached by feminist economy and it reflects on the challenges implied on doing research on such complex dynamics; the second axis systematizes and analyzes data from different National Surveys throughout three scales, focusing specifically in the metropolitan region of Great Jujuy (province of Jujuy) to consider the most evident conditionings, inequalities and debts around well-being and caring. La distribución por género de las tareas del cuidado tiene un correlato directo con la estructura de empleo: a la feminización del cuidado en el ámbito doméstico le corresponde una baja participación en el mercado de trabajo; secuencia inversa para la población masculina. El trabajo se organiza en torno a dos grandes ejes: el primero recapitula el estado de la cuestión en torno a los estudios de cuidado, su contextualización en los debates de la economía feminista y la reflexión sobre los desafíos que implica la investigación de las dinámicas del cuidado; el segundo eje sistematiza y analiza los datos de un conjunto de Encuestas Nacionales ordenadas en tres escalas, por área de cobertura, con foco en la región metropolitana Gran Jujuy (Provincia de Jujuy) para considerar cuáles son las condiciones, desigualdades y deudas más evidentes respecto del bienestar y el cuidado.
