In its ten fascicles, the document explained and justified, from Medinaceli’s perspective, the participation of Bolivia in the Spanish - South American War on the side of Peru, Chile, and Ecuador in response to what was considered an act of aggression by Spain. A review of the document addressed to the contemporary “Tribunal de la Opinion” provides insight into some arguments of the Americanist intellectual and publicist regarding the project of continental union and the conflict with the Spanish. El artículo estudia El Voto de Guerra, editado por Benedicto Medinaceli en Sucre (Bolivia) entre mayo y septiembre de 1866. En sus diez fascículos, el documento explicó y justificó, desde el punto de vista de Medinaceli la participación boliviana en la Guerra Hispano-Sudamericana, del lado del Perú, Chile y Ecuador ante lo que se consideró como una agresión por parte de España. La revisión del escrito dirigido al “Tribunal de la Opinión” contemporáneo, permite conocer parte de los argumentos de este intelectual y publicista americanista, en torno al proyecto de unión continental y del conflicto contra los españoles. O artigo estuda El Voto de Guerra, editado por Benedicto Medinaceli em Sucre (Bolívia) entre maio e setembro de 1866. Em seus dez fascículos, o documento explicava e justificava, do ponto de vista de Medinaceli, a participação boliviana na Guerra Hispano-Sul-Americana, ao lado do Peru, Chile e Equador, diante do que era considerado uma agressão por parte da Espanha. A revisão do escrito dirigido ao “Tribunal de la Opinión” contemporâneo permite conhecer parte dos argumentos desse intelectual e publicista americanista em torno do projeto de união continental e do conflito contra os espanhóis.
