It focuses on two key moments: the founding of the Córdoba Branch of the Junta de Historia y Numismática Americana in 1926 and the inauguration of the Instituto de Estudios Americanistas at the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba in 1936. Between these two events, a vibrant community of scholars emerged that maintained exchanges with a network of historians clustered around the Junta de Historia y Numismática Americana and Ricardo Levene in Argentina’s city capital. However, the 1936 creation marked a turning point: for the first time, historiography was institutionalized within the framework of the Casa de Trejo. El artículo reconstruye parte del proceso de institucionalización de la escritura historiográfica en la ciudad de Córdoba entre la década de 1920 y la de 1940. Se concentra en dos momentos: la fundación de la Filial Córdoba de la Junta de Historia y Numismática Americana en 1926 y la inauguración del Instituto de Estudios Americanistas de la Universidad Nacional de Córdoba en 1936; entre ambos se detecta la vital actividad de una comunidad de académicos –con lazos e intercambios con una comunidad de historiadores constelada en torno a la Junta de Historia y Numismática Americana y a Ricardo Levene en la Capital Federal– aunque la creación de 1936 marcó una novedad: fue la primera vez que la historiografía se institucionalizó en el marco de la Casa de Trejo. O artigo reconstrói parte do processo de institucionalização da escrita historiográfica na cidade de Córdoba entre as décadas de 1920 e 1940. Concentra-se em dois momentos: a fundação da Filial Córdoba da Junta de História e Numismática Americana em 1926 e a inauguração do Instituto de Estudos Americanistas da Universidade Nacional de Córdoba em 1936; entre ambos se detecta a atividade vital de uma comunidade de acadêmicos – com laços e intercâmbios com uma comunidade de historiadores reunida em torno da Junta de História e Numismática Americana e de Ricardo Levene na Capital Federal –, embora a criação de 1936 tenha marcado uma novidade: foi a primeira vez que a historiografia se institucionalizou no âmbito da Casa de Trejo.
