Sumario:The defense of the Constitution is one of the most important and challenging debates in constitutional and political theory. The aim of this article is to analyze two key moments during the democratic transition in Argentina in which the supremacy of the Constitution was threatened: the military uprising in the Easter of 1987 and December 1990. I will approach this from a political and constitutional perspective, considering the notion of defense of the Constitution in a context of exception in which the political and legal order itself is in danger.
