In particular, we will examine the riots and escapes produced by the prison population of the Cárcel de Encausados and the Asilo Correccional del Buen Pastor. We will also look at the tensions between the political prisoners –who benefited from the presidential pardon– and the common prisoners, who were not included in this measure. El artículo tiene por objetivo central indagar –a partir de noticias publicadas en los diarios de Córdoba La Voz del Interior y Los Principios–, sobre el modo en qué se desarrolló el complejo proceso político y social que derivó en mayo de 1973 en la liberación de personas presas en aquella provincia. En particular, examinaremos los desmanes y fugas producidos por la población penada de la Cárcel de Encausados y del Asilo Correccional del Buen Pastor. Asimismo, veremos las tensiones existentes entre los presos políticos –beneficiados por el indulto presidencial– y los presos comunes, que no fueron incluidos en esa medida. O principal objetivo deste artigo é investigar, a partir da perspetiva de dois meios de comunicação impressos da província de Córdoba -La Voz del Interior e Los Principios-, a forma como se desenrolou o complexo processo político e social que levou à libertação dos presos nessa província em maio de 1973. Analisaremos, em particular, os motins e as fugas produzidas pela população carcerária da Cárcel de Encausados e do Asilo Correcional del Buen Pastor. Analisaremos também as tensões entre os presos políticos - que beneficiaram do indulto presidencial - e os presos comuns, que não foram incluídos nesta medida.
